Massage is known to have been used over 3,000 years ago by the Chinese,
and is the earliest recorded form of physical therapy. It comprises various
manipulations of soft tissue, each of which produces certain effects on the
underlying structures and on the body in general.

Our professional sports therapist is a Member of Independent Professional
Therapists International and possesses an F.T.E.C. Diploma in Anatomy,
Physiology, Body Massage & Sports Therapy.

Sports Therapy

The main purpose is to help prevent injury by keeping muscles in peak condition
enabling you to train harder and longer, and improve your recovery rate following
exercise. Helps you to stay fit and healthy.

Benefits and importance

Massage has many benefits, both physical and psychological. It can be used in
a variety of ways and combined to suit a persons particualr needs. It contributes
to the general well-being of the body by promoting a good supply of blood containing
the essential ingrediants for growth, repair and nutrition. Removal of waste products
helps to eliminate stiffness.

It can also ease many ailments arising from bad posture and from other forms of stress
like headaches or tension from normal everyday living.
