Juvederm filles nasal furrows and oral commissures and smoothes medium and superficial wrinkles. In a totally natural but not definitive way, the product will restrore the sensuality of your lips and smooth curves to your face.
Juvederm is also an excellent volume creator which, when injected into your cheeks, gives you back your good looks. Through a minor injection, without a prior test, minor imperfections and signs of ageing are softened very evenly.
Over the last few years, hyaluronic acid has emerged as the miracle compound for filling in wrinkles. Hyaluronic acid is a physiological constituent of dermal tissue which mainatains local moisture content and is gradually reabsorbed with time.
Juvederm is a hyaluronic acid in the form of viscoelastic gel, which is transparent and homogeneous and which has 4 major benefits:
* it is obtained by biosynthesis and is of non-animal origin* it does not require any prior tests
* the molecule is highly biocompatible
* its presentation (24 mg/ml) is currently the most concentrated on the market.
Without any need for preliminary testing, Juvederm can be used immediately. The outcome can be optimized and made to last longer with a follow-up procedure a few weeks after the initial treatment.
The effects of Juvederm usually last 6 to 9 months, but this period can be more or less depending on skin type, the area treated, the volume injected, and the technique used for the procedure.
Juvederm is available in 3 versions...depending on the nature of the depression which needs to be corrected.
When injected into the superficial dermis, the fluid version Juvederm 18, fills fine wrinkles such as crow's feet or peri-oral wrinkles.
When injected into the middle dermis, the dense version Juvederm 24, effectively fills forehead wrinkles, glabellar lines, obvious mild to moderate nasal furrows and cheek wrinkles.
When injected into the deep dermis, the densest version Juvederm 30, fills deep naso-genain folds, returns volume to your lips, sculptures your cheecks and gives your face back its natural, oval shape.
Redness, oedema, and pain at the injection site may develop after treatment and generally disappear spontaneously within 72 hours.
Occasional cases of induration in the form of nodules, sometimes accompanied by redness, may occur a few days to a few weeks after the injection and have been described after hyaluronic acid injections.

People with The following conditions should not consider injections of hyaluronic acid:
* those with known hypersentivity to hyaluronic acid
* those with diseases affecting the immune system
* pregnant or breast-feeding women.
You should avoid exposing yourself to extreme temperatures (severe cold, saunas, UV or sunlight) during the days following the injection.
